ART 331: Jackson Hole Photography Workshop is a 3-credit upper-level art elective for School of Art and Design majors and is part of the School’s Global Positioning Studies (GPS) Initiative . It also fulfills a 3-credit requirement for Photography minors and counts as a Humanities elective for non-majors.

The course includes pre-departure virtual and in-person meetings, followed by a 10-day travel experience exploring sites throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Summer 2026 travel dates are June 9–18, 2026, and enrollment is limited to 12 students.

The course fee is $2,500, which covers nine nights of lodging, all ground transportation, park passes, course activities, and nearly all meals. Tuition for the 3 credits is billed separately. Students are responsible for their own travel to and from Jackson, WY.

School of Art and Design students are eligible to apply for a GPS Award  to help fund the course.
